Coronavirus Update

Coronavirus (Covid-19) Update: Last updated 28th March 2020

We understand that some guests may be concerned about their cottage booking in light of the spread of Covid-19 and the current lockdown on travel in the the UK. Given the evolving situation, we are continuously monitoring official UK Government advice and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) website along with the National Travel Health Network and Centre (NaTHNaC) TravelHealthPro website that provides specific health advice for travellers.

Given the exceptional nature of the issue, we have changed our usual booking terms and conditions to enable those with bookings until 14th April 2020 inclusive to alter those bookings should they wish to. Customers with bookings during this period can now postpone their stay for up to a year after the date of their original booking. The administration fee for any such changes to £20.

  • If guests select a cheaper slot than the original booking, we will credit their account with the difference, to be spent on a holiday to take place within a year of the original check-in date of their current booking.
  • If guests book an alternative cottage that is more expensive, they will need to pay the difference when the transfer is made.
  • If guests book a more expensive slot in the same cottage they need to pay the difference when the transfer is made.
  • If guests need time to decide on an alternative cottage, we will hold a credit on their account, but the stay must take place within a year of the original check-in date of their current booking, otherwise the credit balance will be forfeited.

To transfer or discuss a booking taking place in the next 3/4 weeks please contact the Debbie Williamson either by email or telephone 01386 852913.

All of our other booking terms and conditions agreed by the guest at the time of the booking, still stand.

Bookings after 14th April 2021 currently remain in place and are subject to our booking terms and conditions. We will review our policy as the impact of Coronavirus emerges. Please keep checking the website for updates.
