Our Cotswold holiday cottages and Rafters apartment are located on a quiet country lane surrounded by picturesque and peaceful countryside in Broadway in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Our cottages are just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of the village of Broadway, known as the Show Village of England and Jewel of the Cotswolds, with its range of excellent restaurants, independent shops, galleries, pubs and tea and coffee shops.
Situated in the extensive grounds of a Cotswold Manor House that dates back to 1539 when it was built by the Sheldon family, our cottage guests are invited to enjoy the surrounding grounds including an old manorial stewpond, stream and ornamental pond which all attract a wide variety of wildlife. It is not unusual to see several families of ducklings in late spring/early summer in the grounds wandering between the ponds and stream. Our chickens and Indian Runner ducks roam amongst the trees in the orchard and our pet Dorset sheep graze our paddock on the lane opposite.
The Cotswold Way National Trail (the long distance path between Bath and Chipping Campden) and the Wychavon Way (Broadway to Droitwich Spa) crossed our field and there are a number of footpaths in the surrounding area with some great walks to enjoy through some of the most beautiful countryside in England. For the more energetic we can arrange cycle hire or bring your own bikes along and use our secure cycle store.
Directions: By car our cottages are located 0.9 miles (1.4km) from the centre of Broadway. Our nearest airports are Birmingham Airport (about an hour’s drive) and London Heathrow (allow 2 hours). Our closest railway stations are Moreton-in-Marsh (9 miles/15km) and Evesham (6.5 miles/10.5km). Both are served by trains from Worcester and London (with connections at Oxford and Reading). Buses serving the village from Moreton-in-Marsh and Evesham stop in the centre of the village outside The Lygon Arms Hotel or the Lifford Memorial Hall (both 15-2o mins on foot – less along the footpaths across the neighbouring field).
